What does the Quran say about Humanity? Islam teaches all humans are equal before God, regardless of race, class or nationality. The daily prayer demonstrates this concept as Muslims from all walks of life pray shoulder to shoulder, such as here in the streets of New York City.

The Almighty God has laid down in the Holy Quran: "O mankind, we have created you from a male and female." In other words all human beings are brothers to one another. They all are the descendants from one father and one mother.

Respect for humanity does not mean tailoring the workplace to the whims of every individual; it does mean recognizing that there are both good and bad aspects to human nature and putting systems in place to minimize weaknesses and maximize strengths.

Everyone's God-given human dignity must be respected, regardless of his or her faith, race, ethnic origin, gender, or social status (ref. Qur'an, 17:70). Because everyone is created by God Almighty, the Maker of all, humans must treat one another with full honor, respect, and loving-kindness.

Social service. Because the purpose of human existence is submission to the Divine Will, as is the purpose of every other creature, God's role in relation to human beings is that of the commander.

In Islam, life is sacred and one of the greatest gifts and blessings of God. Every moment of life has great value and is irreversible. Therefore, it must be appreciated and protected; even if it has a poor quality.

The rules of Muslim Law, or the Shari'a, envisage respect for the dignity of human being without distinction of colour, religion, sex, or social or economic origin. The respect concerns one's self, others and the forbidding of torture and inhuman and degrading treatments.

The Qur'an is “a guidance for mankind… and the distinction (between right and wrong).” Qur'an 2:185 It provides direction to help mankind judge between right and wrong, without which, man would surely be in loss.

Humility comes from knowing about God and recognising His greatness, venerating Him, loving Him and being in awe of Him; and it comes from knowing about oneself and one's own faults, and weaknesses. God gives this characteristic to those who struggle to become close to Him through deeds of piety and righteousness..

Practicing respect for human life and individuals is central to a common society and common world. Alongside, respect and regard certify those deserving of regard. At the point when we regard others, it attests their entitlement to regard and their value of regard.

According to a Hadith: “That person is not one of us who is not merciful to our youngsters and respectful to our elders.” According to another Hadith the Prophet Muhammad said: “One who believes in God and the Last Day must honour his neighbours; one who believes in God and the Last Day must honour his guests.”

The Prophet Mohammed reiterated this by saying “[Allah] loves modesty and humble concealing faults of others and oneself.” Concealment is a key part of modesty. Muslims who draw nearer to Allah through acts of worship and piety will find themselves concealed and sheltered by Him on the Day of Judgment.

They include kindness (to people and animals), charity, forgiveness, honesty, patience, justice, respecting parents and elders, keeping promises, and controlling one's anger, love of God and those God loves, love of his messenger (Muhammad) and of believers.

Human rights in Islam are firmly rooted in the belief that God, and God alone, is the Law Giver and the Source of all human rights. Due to their Divine origin, no ruler, government, assembly or authority can curtail or violate in any way the human rights conferred by God, nor can they be surrendered.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “No one who has an atom's-weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.”

From the origins of Islamic history, humility (khushūʿ/tawāḍuʿ) has occupied a cen- tral place in Muslim piety. This has been in large part due to its defining role in the Qurʾān and ḥadīths, and no less because it stands as the opposite of pride (kibr)—the cardinal sin of both Iblīs and Pharaoh in Scripture.

This suggests that respect for and between persons is structured along three distinctive aspects: human recognition respect, status recognition respect and appraisal respect. These same aspects (or dimensions) of respect are at play in the construction of self-respect.

Central to the principle of human dignity is the understanding that, every human being is created in the image of God, redeemed by Jesus Christ, destined for union with God, and therefore worthy of respect as a member of the human family.

Honesty, integrity, love, and happiness are some of the end values or destination values that human beings seek to attain, practise and live with. On the other hand, values such as health, money, fame, status, intelligence, and so on are the means values or path values which help achieve the end values.

We must have food, water, air, and shelter to survive. If any one of these basic needs is not met, then humans cannot survive. Before past explorers set off to find new lands and conquer new worlds, they had to make sure that their basic needs were met.

Islam teaches us to respect people of different races and beliefs. I live in a state with various races and religions, and I was taught by my forefathers to respect all of them.

Respect: Every Muslim has rights given to them by Allah. Other Muslims have a duty to protect and respect those rights. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stated that the life, property and honour of one Muslim are sacred to another.
